progress: Ian and I scraped the remainder of the carpet padding off of the existing cement and removed all of the tack strips… (I found a nail in my shorts later that day) and on Sunday I went in there on a solo mission to remove all of the tile…. now there is a nice layer of mortar to chip off, yay! Pretty much every muscle in my body is still sore 2 days later. What I learned from this experience… tile demolition= an amazing workout.

So far this week: Kitchen faucet replacement, pendant light removal, and the big carpet removal…. Tack strip and tile removal tasks are next on the list for this weekend… I officially have a disaster of a condo on my hands this should be interesting.

(I apologize for the grainy pics, I promise I will not forget the camera next time )

Living room pile

kitchen view, I really fancy the spray painted numbers/letters on the concrete…warehouse chic?

So I finally closed escrow on the 28th and received the keys…

Here are some pics of the place as purchased. Some of the plans include, tearing out/replacing the flooring, removing/replacing the light fixtures, replacing the kitchen faucet and painting the boring beige walls. The fridge is missing as well as the washer and dryer… A bathroom and kitchen remodel is a must, but will have to wait…
